G-Suite 101: How to Use Google Meet and More for Your Chapter

Katy Waechter, Indian Peaks Chapter President

Friday, September 25, at 4-5 p.m.

Moving meetings and in-person activities online is a priority for all and no longer an option for many. As an organization, the Colorado Archaeological Society has access to G Suite, an integrated suite of collaboration apps. This access is free to chapters and includes apps like Google Meet, Hangouts, Calendar, Sites, and Drive. This workshop will introduce participants to the basics of setting up a chapter Google account and hosting a virtual meeting.

It’s recommended that chapters interested in using these tools identify a chapter administrator and make sure they attend this workshop. Follow-up sessions will be offered to CAS chapters on an as-needed basis.

Topics include:

  • How to set up and hold a digital meeting for free
  • Record and edit meeting videos for sharing or posting online
  • Sharing documents between people
  • Strategies for applying these tools to your local CAS chapter or other organization
